Did you know that your ankles affect your swing? Your feet connect you to the ground; they’re your base. So, any lack of mobility and stability in your ankles reduces the consistency of your swing.
MAINTAIN YOUR POSTURE
Good ankle mobility makes it easier for you to stay in position during your swing. Poor dorsiflexion – ability to flex the foot upwards – can cause early extension during the downswing, making consistent impact difficult.
Your ankle exercises will be more effective if you include physiotherapy, such as myofascial release, in the calves and feet.
